Wonder how to make a mark while living in a world of uncontrolled senses ? Join us this summer as Devamrita Swami, a Yale graduate, author and a Monk of over 40 years shares his unique expertise and technique on how to ‘discover ourselves’. He speaks every year to students at prestigious universities around the globe and equips them with tools to better navigate the loops and hoops of life.

Who am I and what do I want to do with my life ? Why do I have to make choices and how do I make them? Important questions but rarely answered.
Life is all about what I want and what feels right to me. Sounds like a familiar phrase to many of us. Thinking like this world quickly transforms into a playground for my senses and the best way to enjoy this life is to do what it takes to satisfy our senses. If this is true, why then is the world full of so much stress and anxiety ? Hear from Devamrita Swami as he shares his experience and helps us see the real ‘I’ behind the ‘shadow self’ we live with.

So many advertisements forcing images of who we would want to be, so many books binding us with conformity – we don’t have much of chance for findng our true needs or even who we are and what would truly satisfy us. Expertise is needed to peek behind the shadow that envelops our true identity. Living in a world of permanent stress, an intelligent person seeks a permanent solution.

The event will also include a delicious, freshly prepared vegan dinner and beautiful meditation marking the beginning and end of the program.

About the speaker Devamrita Swami

Devamrita Swami is a monk whose profound dedication to the spiritual path spans four decades. It was in 1972 that he first came in contact with the ancient wisdom of the East. His attraction to this transcendental knowledge was immediate and the effect profound; though a graduate of Yale University, he discovered that this would be the start of his real education. Since that time, through constant spiritual practice Devamrita Swami has matured in his understanding of these ancient truths and now spends his time sharing his realizations with others.
