Description: Record ice melts, climate change, unusual weather patterns, rapidly vanishing species and rising sea levels… these are the norms of the day. Abrupt changes in climate are now an established fact of life here on Earth. Everyone is talking about it and starting newer and newer initiatives aimed at saving the environment. But is it possible to solve the environmental problems even if our varied environmental initiatives are successful unless we deal with the ‘desire problem’.
While the media is buzzing with requests for empowering efforts to clean up our global mess and declaring man as a ‘geo-physical force’ destroying its own habitat, this is a good time to ask: “is our planet at a possible ‘tipping point’ of dramatic climate change”? How did we get here in the first place and where do we go from here?
Join us for an interactive presentation with Devamrita Swami, a Yale graduate, author and monk of over 40 years who also heads the Institute of Sustainability in New Zealand and has spoken at several environmental forums in Toronto and around the world. He presents visionary insights on how ‘consciousness transformation’ holds the key to the Global Environmental Crisis.
An evening not to miss – delicious vegan dinner, meditation to calm the mind and ideas to inspire the intellect.
